Hello friends, and Easter!
This past Tuesday marked our final Young Life College club of the year! Its been an amazing year which has seen our ministry more than double in size and has seen our expectations of what we can expect for our college ministry change and grow. This coming Tuesday night, we will recognize our graduating leaders: Alexa Aragon, Maura Jones, and Jarrett Knight. We are grateful for them and for all they have done to help us reach students at Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s and Holy Cross.
As we look back to our final month of YL College, here are a few things that excited us:
*We brought six undergraduate students to the YL Midwest Division Student Staff conference in Chicago during Palm Sunday weekend. Last year, we did not have any students attend the weekend, so it was VERY exciting to be bringing so many folks to this conference. It was a great time for me to help cast vision with these students and help them find ways to get move involved.
*We are beginning to look at next year and begin the process of recruiting new team leaders as three of our current leaders will graduate in May. Please pray for individuals to feel the call to be involved in this ministry! Last year, we were surprised and blessed with three leaders who answered the call in August, and they have been amazing! We hope that God can provide us with new leaders that will help continue the great work they accomplished.
*Over the last few weeks, Alexa, Maura, and Jarrett gave their “last lectures” to our students during YL College. It was great to see them share their wisdom with the YL College community and see the impact they had on the undergrad community through their relationships and the wisdom they shared.
*This summer will be an opportunity for me to plan for the new year and reach out to incoming ND & SMC students. I’m excited to get our program off to a good start, including a “College Club” for all of campus in the Fall. I hope that you will all pray for this planning and for our incoming group of students!
This will be the last update from me until August, when our students return to campus. I hope that you will continue to keep us here at “Dome Life” in your prayers, however, and thank you for all of your support and enthusiasm for the work we are doing here!
